This week Lynne talks to Labour MP for Walthamstow Stella Creasy. She is a feminist in Westminster and an incredibly effective campaigner and activist. During the ten years since she entered politics she has been a champion for her community and across the U.K.
Her recent successful campaigns, from fighting to make misogyny a hate crime, to tackling the exploitative “Buy Now, Pay Later” schemes, Stella discusses how it’s not enough to just to complain about the unfairness in the world, but examines how to move from anger to action. In what she describes as the AAA perspective, Answers, Allies, and Actions, she recounts her experiences working across the two Houses of Parliament in order to create support to move issues forward with solutions.
In a world where peaceful protest and activists are under attack, there is still hope and space for change.
