Episode 32 - Re-Imagining Our World
an inspiring conversation with best selling Author Manda Scott
In this inspirational and exciting episode of Frankly Speaking, Lynne Franks interviews globally respected visionary, best-selling author, shaman and host of the acclaimed Accidental Gods podcast, Manda Scott.
Known for writing the Boudica: Dreaming series, Manda shares insights from her latest book, “Any Human Power”, which weaves currents of shamanic mythology similar to those in the Boudica series through a ‘Thrutopian’ narrative of political upheaval and transformative change.
"We were not born to pay bills and then die, you know this and I know this, so why do we let the system keep us running on a treadmill that everyone hates?"
Listen to this inspiring and practical episode as their insights encourage you to think critically about the world around us, moving away from chaos and destruction and towards the emergence of new systems.

Born in Scotland at 318ppm CO2, Manda Scott trained as a veterinary surgeon, but is now an award-winning novelist and host of the Accidental Gods podcast.
Best known for the Boudica: Dreaming series, her latest novel, Any Human Power, ditches historical fiction in favour of a contemporary Thrutopian narrative that explores the potential for a future we'd be proud to leave as our legacy. Described as a mytho-political thriller, Any Human Power lays out routes to a paradigm shift that would lift us into the realm of good ancestors, laying the ground for a future we’d be proud to leave to the generations that follow us. She believes that the way forward now is for everyone to bring the best of themselves to the table – which means growing into adulthood: finding what’s ours to do and doing it with all our heart.
